It is week #4 of The Kindness Challenge 🙂
You made it!!!! Only one week to go before you can say that you completed this month-long challenge, where you worked to not only focus on kindness towards others, but worked to really focus on kindness towards yourself…woot woot!!
I’ve been participating in this challenge with you! I’ve made some personal changes to show myself some kindness and caring. I haven’t been able to post on FB with daily updates as I had hoped, simply, because I’ve been too busy trying to balance it all 🙁
I’ve really worked to focus on my diet these last few weeks. Eliminating sugar, sweets, and cutting way down on carbs. This has been HARD!!!! I’ve definitely made progress, but need to continue to focus on this in the days ahead to make this my new lifestyle. I’ve changed my grocery list, have found new recipes, and have adjusted how I prep and cook my meals. It certainly feels good to be eating “clean”, but at this point, it definitely takes a lot more effort to make it happen!
In this 4th and final week of The Kindness Challenge, I challenge you to maintain the changes you’ve made in your life to be more kind to yourself. I also challenge you to focus some of your energy this week on being kind to others. Family, friends, coworkers, colleagues, strangers at the store, and people you pass in the hall or on the street. One thing that we all have in common is that we struggle…we just all struggle with different things. I struggle to get through each day because of my chronic illness. Others struggle with anything from depression and anxiety, to substance abuse, to financial problems, to marital problems, and everything in between, big or small. We all struggle on some level, with something.
So, with that in mind this week, take a minute to do something kind for someone else. Do something that shows another that you care, or are concerned, or are willing to help. Do something to just make someone’s day brighter….it will end up making your day brighter too!!
